School Officials

Why Teachers Should Get Involved

They say breakfast is the most important meal of a day. So shouldn't you make sure that your students are eating it?

Some schools offer breakfast before the beginning of the school day, but there are a lot kids who can’t get to school in time for that.

Sure there are students that do have breakfast before school, but what about the rest? One student is not as important as another.

Kids can make a mess if they eat in the classroom, but a mess should not be the top concern.

As an educator don’t you want to see your students do their best?

Compared to students who don’t eat breakfast, students who eat breakfast on a daily basis:

  • Get Better Grades

  • Have Better Concentration

  • Maintain a healthier weight

It is also important that your students are not only eating breakfast, but that they are eating a nutritious one as well. The United States Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services created a toolkit for educators and students on how to eat better and how and why schools are working to change their meals.

Why Administrators Should Get Involved

As an administrator shouldn't you do your best to ensure that your school system meets children's education needs and maintains a great reputation ?

See what prinicipals, food service directors, and others in Pennsylvania and in other states are doing to get involved in this movement:
